I
just watched a video about Akamai Technologies and what they do. I find it amazing that
thanks to technology, you can live across the world and still get updates on
media. You do not have to wait the next day to find out who won the basketball
game you, can view the game straight from the internet no matter how far away you
are or what time zone your in. Akamai partnered with NBA to globally
stream videos to customers thought-out the world. The NBA is not televised in
212 nations in 42 languages. Akamai Technologies has servers in 70 counties and
means smart or intelligent in Hawaiian. It is amazing that the world is so big
however at the same time it is so small thanks to technology. I could be in
China and watch an NBA game and feel as if I was in the United States.
